Cabinet signs — also called box signs — are versatile, durable, and clean-looking. Sun Sign Company designs, fabricates, and installs both illuminated and non-illuminated cabinet signs that perform year after year. From storefront IDs to high-rise pylon cabinets 100’ in the air, we build signage that stands up to weather and time.
We follow the same quality-first approach outlined in our Quality Sign Construction standards. Most cabinets are manufactured from .125 aluminum for strength; smaller units may use extruded aluminum for efficiency. Frames are fully welded with reinforcements and gussets at stress points (including around lifting eyelets).
Finishes include powder coating, automotive-grade paints, and optional LineX truck bed liner for a textured, ultra-durable exterior. For illuminated models, we white-out the interior for maximum light reflectivity and efficiency.
Select faces to match your application and aesthetic:
Most illuminated cabinets use LEDs (often LED light bars) for even lighting, energy savings, and long service life. Want to go deeper into lighting choices? Visit our dedicated page: Illuminated Cabinet Signs.
We fabricate, install, remove, and service cabinet signs — including elevated installs up to 100’. Building-mounted, ground-mounted, or pylon applications: our team brings the equipment, safety practices, and experience to do it right.
From rugged roadside IDs to clean storefront identifiers, our cabinet/box signs combine durability, craftsmanship, and visibility. Recent work in Portsmouth, OH, included multiple large cabinets with rounded corners, hinged faces, UV-resistant polycarbonate, and LED illumination — a concise example of how we build for performance and serviceability.
